1. What we mean by cookies
Small pieces of data a site stores in your browser. We use the term to cover browser local storage and similar client-side storage as well as cookies proper.
2. What this site uses
Four entries. That is the entire list.
Strictly necessary
- bld-consent (browser storage) — records your cookie-banner choice and the date you made it. Required for the site to remember your preference, so it cannot be switched off without breaking that.
- bld-sent (this visit only) — counts messages sent from the contact form in this browser tab, so the form can’t be used to flood our inbox. Cleared when you close the tab.
Preferences
- bld-intro — notes that the homepage’s opening animation has played, so it doesn’t replay on every page load. Kept for this visit only, unless you press “Accept all,” in which case it’s kept in your browser so the animation doesn’t replay next time. Pressing “Reject non-essential” removes the kept copy.
Analytics (consent required)
- bld-analytics (cookie, 180 days) — a randomised, anonymous identifier used to count page views in aggregate. Set only after you press “Accept all.” Not set, and removed if present, when you press “Reject non-essential.”
3. No third-party cookies
This site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, embeds, analytics tags or advertising pixels. Typefaces are self-hosted, so no request goes to a font provider. We set no advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
The Continuity website at continuity.bldtechco.com uses bld-consent and bld-analytics in the same way, with its own banner and its own record — browsers keep storage separate for each site address, so a choice made on one site doesn’t carry over to the other. It does not use bld-intro or bld-sent.
4. Changing your mind
Press at any time, or clear this site’s data in your browser. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
5. Legal basis
Strictly-necessary storage falls under the ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3) exception and GDPR Article 6(1)(b)/(f). Analytics storage is processed only with prior consent under Article 6(1)(a), withdrawable at any time.
